    Keep on hearing a flushing and rushing sound in the sump. The water level rises and drops quite fast in the overflow box as well. I heard that the return line/PVC pipe discharging water into the sump should not be submerged, however the geniuses from Aqueon did not think of this.
    What are some options on solutions?

    Not sure why you started another thread for this issue but a picture will help. The return line should be submerged otherwise it will cause alot more noise.
