    what i think he means is the cutting board for the bottom of the tank, some people use it instead of sand i think for a barebottom style tank.

    Yes, That is correct. This will let me add more circulation to the tank without worrying about the sand. Also this will be plumbed in to my basement sump which has an established deep sand bed.

    We have lights and water!!!! Fresh water test and Sunday should be filling with RO and Salt in that order...:)
