Are all sponges good for the aquarium

    I have noticed sponges starting to come out of the aquarium, green, orange and yellow colored.

    Is this good?

    Most sponges are filters for your tank. There are some that can grow really big really fast and become invasive trying to take over your tank. You have to watch them carefully. I had a black sponge come in with some of my polyps and it was crowding them out so I had to pull it!

    Most are good. Just like anything, things can get out of hand once in awhile.
