You have to grow them out yourself I do believe. I really don't recommend doing it though for just a home aquarium. It is a lot of upkeep and mainly breeders go this route for grow out systems. But you should be able to use the same food you feed rots to feed brine shrimp.

I've heard New Life Spectrum makes good foods. New Life International Inc- Fish Food, Books, Aquaculture and more! - Home That is to feed your other fish that is.

My $.02! is this your first saltwater tank?

You're asking to take on a huge task to grow these things! They are difficult to care for! Rushing anything in this hobby is a very bad idea, and you seem smart enough to know this! I think you should strive to provide the best life you can for anything you're gonna put in this tank! That being said, i'd research research research and do what others have suggested! Get a fuge going to grow pods! Do what you want and buy 1 or 2 (easy to catch) fish! like a couple nemos! Enjoy those for awhile and let your tank get established! Keep seeding it with different pods and phyto!

Take your time like you seem willing to do! But if ya get fast fish, remember you're gonna have to tear the tank down to get them out! Patience is the best thing you can have in this hobby! I'd spend a solid few weeks getting a game plan up before even worrying about it! Research how to grow the food and how much time it will take and effort! These things aren't labeled by Liveaquaria as expert only for no reason!

Enjoy the hobby, and always remember to take your time! It'll save ya ton of money! plus with nemos you can train them to eat from your fingers! good practice for what you have in store!
