Are clownfish and Cardinalfish compatible?

    haha just found out that the clowns love to ride the current from my eheim nozzle u were right!! also i swear that i opened my mouth for my bangaii (to see if he had babies) and he opened his too! i didnt get a good look tho. will they even attempt to eat if brooding?

    If they are breeding, you want to feed heavily so that the male can fatten up. He will not eat while holding the babies. ;D

    Hmmm, clownfish eating like crazy, but cardinal a bit more reserved. He opens his ,mouth and I've seen at Least 1 piece of brine shrimp eaten, but others he just let's pass by and he won't even touch flakes. Should I get something else? Clownfish finally fed from hand!

    Jw, what's the minimum size for a blue tang? Not cuz I want one (pretty sure my 3' is too small) I was reading a forum where someone said he had one in a 29 g

    That is way to small. I would go no smaller then a 125 gallons, but I think preferably 180 gallons would be suggested.

    +1, ive heard they can do ok as juvis in a 90 but once they get 5" or so a 125-180 is best.

    I look forward to one day converting my 35g FW Planted Angel fish tank or my 29g Biocube into a Seahorse/mandarin tank.

    My problem would be finding and growing macro algae varieties and getting these mature before I add the Seahorses. My LFS doesn't have many options as far as Macro Algae goes!

    But they make such beautifully mesmorizing tanks!

    btw, does anyone know how long it takes for purigen and matrix to work? just added them today, but had to take some of my eheim bio balls out.
