i've had my firefish a little over a week now, at first it was constantly out. But now i never see it, once in a blue moon it will come out of it's hiding hole but then dart back in. I don't get it, nothing is picking on him, i thought they were active fish.

Is anybody elses firefish like this

I had a purple that was very skiddish. When it was out it was very active but there were times where it would just hide and I wouldn't see it for a while.

it's so annoying, i mean it even missed out on dinner last time i fed because it decided to stay hiding, came out last minute and got the last 2 or 3 little pieces that where floating about

that how i think my helfrichi is, it took a while for it to adjust then started swimming around, tried jumping out of the tank but couldn't and it was like ever since it tried jumping out but failed it's been in hiding since. I shake the rock once in a while that it's hiding in but doesn't do anything, and he's hiding in a very small very dark hole in the rock so i can't even see it, but that's where it dart back into

I don't know much about firefish, but I have heard that they can be quite shy and hide quite a bit. I'm sure with time Princess will feel more comfortable and come out more!
