We've had water in our tank for about a week & a half & the LR for a week. We have had microbubbles in the tank from day one, although they are not as bad as they were the first couple of days.

Is this something I need to worry about?

    Thanks!

if there is a extreme amount yes it harmful to the fish but generally you don't have to worry.

extreme aka your tank looks like your skimmer

Can't be much worse than waves crashing in the ocean.

Have you tried putting a small filter sock at the output of the skimmer? That's what I do with mine. Works like a charm. You just need to replace the sock every other day. It gets dirty fast.

Hello and welcome! I needed to add a bubble trap to the end of my skimmer because of micro-bubles. They can eventually lead to an outbreak of algea as they settle on the rock, corals or whatever else they can settle on. Best of Luck!

it could be your skimmer breaking in.the bubbles can contribute to algae growth

    Thanks guys!

pharmrjohn - Thanks for the suggestion. This is something the LFS should carry right?

jdrbach - Appreciate the info - is a bubble trap the same thing as pharmrjohn was talking about?

ziggy - The bubbles were there before we started using the skimmer. About a day after that, the bubbles didn't seem quite so bad.

dark126 - We have a Pro Clear Aquatic Premier Series 60-125 Wet/Dry filtration system for our 90 gal tank. As far as water flow is concerned, we have a Rio Hyperflo 17HF & we have ordered one koralia 3 & one koralia 4.
