are my GSPs dead ?

    yesterday i got my first frag of GSPs and some time last night my mantis took offence to it and turned it upside down i turned it back up this mornin but they havnt come out all day should i be concerned or just give it more time?

    give it more time. sometimes mine closes for a full day and a half outta nowhere, but their healthy as can be!

    no my gsp took about a week to fully open they will start to open in 2 days or so it ok relax lol. i posted the same thing

    thanks guys was just worried about the effects of bein upside down for a few hours through the night. we shall see how they do in the next few days :)

    Mine took forever to open. They are very hardy.. My friend kept telling me give them time.. I did and they finally came out after about 3 weeks....

    Haha. I've found a chunk of gsp that was in my sump for 2 weeks buried under a piece of sand. After about a week of being under the light in my main tank, it bounced back like nothing happened.

    wow they realy are tough but i hope they dont take 3 weeks to come out i wanna see them now lol im like kid waiting for christmas

    you CANT kill GSP!! In about 6-8 months you will be back here asking how the heck you can kill it off, as its taking over everything!! haha. No, but dont sweat it, they are VERY hardy!

    my sailfin and crabs always flip me gsp frag off the rock and face down in the sand them when i wake up for school at 6 and i see it i have to put my whole arm in the water to move it back it is like they enjoy the show lol

    the frag is glued to a golf ball size piece of rock i think maybe the mantis just wanted the rock moved lol but i cant keep puttin my hands in to move it the mantis would spear me eventualy
