    looks to me like aiptasia or hydroid, you don't want either. can you get a better pic of it?

    Looks like a small feather duster to me, does it have a tube attached to it and does it look like a bunch of little feathers? I have them all over in two of my tanks. if thats what it looks like then its okay....

    I'd keep the fish you have in there for a while before adding anything else.. That's alot of fish for a 3 week old tank. IMO!!! It is a beutiful tank though...

    ryan, nice I'm glad to see things doing well. Don't panic over your nitrates. They will come down with a little time. You can continute to do water changes but iot would be a waste of time IMO.

    To get rid of your algae problem get something to compete with it and remove the nitrates like macroalgae, chaeot is very good for this, and then get some cleaners. But the cleaners won't do good in tanks with that high of nitrates, get them down to under 40 before adding the crew, so you can get the best use of them.

    Definitely no water changes. You will interrupt the cycling process...
