Are Pavonas supposed to be hard to grow?

    I've heard they are an LPS and hard to grow. Is this true? Here's some pics from the day I got it until last night. kinda a b4 and after.

    I would say whatever you are doing you are doing a great job...it looks wonderful.

    I heard that they are hard to grow...at least that is what one of the guys from the LFS store told me when he came to work on my install..however mine is doing well also. Make sure you have really good flow on yours, as somebody told me that is the most important thing and keep good parems. But like I said it looks like yours is doing awesome.

    unfortunately I have no pictures of mine at this time but I got a frag, very small frag in December of both the brown and the green. The brown has grown unbelievable but the green is allot slower growing. I have done nothing special at all. But the person who gave it to me said that if its not furry then moved to where it is and he had a piece about 1' across of each.

    Pavona is a rather easy coral to maintain. It is however a Small Polyp Stony coral, not a LPS. They ultimately require bright direct light and good water flow but can be kept with less than optimal lighting conditions.
    One of the easier SPS to keep...

    mine just keeps getting furrier and furrier! Is that a word?????:confused:

    CR...you know it's under pc's, about midway down in the center of the tank. go figure :) and yep it loves to be blasted!
