I would PM Incognito for verification as she would know for sure. However, if I'm correct, that's a stonefish. It's the most venomous fish there is (to humans too). It will eat any fish or shrimp that will fit into it's mouth.
I don't know what kind of bi-valve that is.
    The hermit crab is fine.

+1 to stonefish...those are boring and dangerous.
No idea on the clam but the hermit is a whitelined (not zebra) and is reef safeish but gets big.

Thanks again for the info on the fish he seemed harmless enough in the neighbors tank and probably the reason he is giving it away free (poisonous) ....

The hermit seemed ok to my untrained eye as well may add after cycling to my new build since there will be plenty of real estate for the critters.

thanks all we will Pm Incognito for further confirmation.....

Yeah, that crab will get huge. I had one for 4 years.
The shell on top is the shell he was hiding in that I (and the LFS person) thought was empty. And those are my fingers. And he got bigger LOL.

stonefish are not poisonous but venomous some have been found around 14 inches! they can also live out of the water for 24 hours ... just a little info on the stonefish!

The bivalve is a Pen Shell, probably an Atrina species. They are usually buried with the pointed end down, anchored to something with its byssus. The right side (in the pic) should be up, with only a half inch or so of the shell exposed. I don't know how well it will fare on its side like that, but it may be difficult to feed. It's a very cool bivalve though, and I've never seen one in a reef tank.
