I tested my tank last night for the first time in about a month and a half (shhh, I know, bad reefer) and nitrates were at 5 ppm, calcium was at 450, Alk was at 12.2 and kh was at 4.3 or 4.4 can't remember. I don't have a mg test kit yet so I have no clue what it's at. Do these levels seem ok? I know they're a little on the high end of things but will this cause a problem? I'm keeping a few LPS, afew SPS, and two clams. Also have some softies.

Thanks Amcarrig! Do you think I should turn the effluent up on my reactor or just monitor and leave it where it's at?

Looks good. I would leave the reactor were it is for now. what is the PH of the effluent?

I don't have a good way to measure the effluent of the reactor because my test kit doesn't read that low. I drip the effluent through additional media before letting it enter the sump just in case it's too low. I'm going over to Otty's house tonight to show my wife his tank so maybe I can take some effuent over there for him to measure. Well on second thought isn't pH temperature specific? That might not work...

Like Jason said I'd leave it right where you have it.. Its fine.. You must be adjusting per bubble count ? about 40 a minuet is average .you have to tweak it as needed I'd just get me a 89.00 P.H controller a Milwaukee is the best I found.. Pin Point's suck when compared.
