I have a 12 gal Nano-Cube Delux that I need new lights for.

    I could get:

ONE Blue 7100 K-70 2k 24 W. Straight PIN Linear Power Compact Bulb AND ONE 24w STRAIGHT PIN LINEAR DAYLIGHT 10,000K-12k

    OR

TWO COMBO bulb 24W STRAIGHT PIN LINEAR BLUE/WHITE

Is it the same to get one of each or two combos? Or is one better than the other?

They will be different. The combo bulb has one tube actinic and one tube white so that your bulbs will alternate spectra and give a more blended color. The others will create a little bit less blended look.

Ah, ha, so the blue 7100 k-70 bulb is not actinic? It seemed odd because usually the actinic mention numbers like 420/460.

So I would be better going with the two combo bulbs, right?

I like the combo bulbs, so I would encourage you buy them. The 7100K is an actinic bulb also.
