Just shows you how different they are from real people. Little to no morals, egotistical and self centered beyond belief. With the the proposed lack of laws they will be a blight on the earth in no time.

Isn't this the exact way our country was founded... (with the exception of having money anyhow) Someone got sick of paying someone else to tell them what to do.. So they found somewhere they could do what they want.. And then some foundation was layed which more came on top of... and pretty soon you have the intricate system that is our current legal structure..

    Pretty much American history 101

This makes me think of a few video games... Bioshock and Brink. An amazing feat if done but the plague of others will demolish any dream.

Sounds exactly like what the English said when we separated.... Just saying.

I would never imagine it could actually work.. but no one believed America was going to work as a sovereign nation with basically the exact same goals either...

No minimum wage and no moral standings on a man made island with looser building codes? I'm assuming their food and a vast array of supplies will be constantly imported? They'll have to have some kind of valuable export to sustain them selves.

This is really a slanted article.. even the addon article "Thiel says skip college" is so off what his goal was. If you have a business venture (IE a ready to go business that you have already identified the opportunity, risk and structure) then paying for college is a waste. I fully agree.. as did Bill Gates from Microsoft, and Facebook creature Mark Zuckerburg.. that article links to another article talking about high school grads in the job market.. Thiel never spoke or donated to advising kids looking for work to skip college. He basically pushed for young entrepreneurs to pursue there business first and there degrees second. A very differnt (albeit risky ) goal.

Exactly the same rules our government was founded on. We want to establish our rules rather than follow yours. It never says NO rules... It just says not the one currently established as being the right rules.

Who says because you have a heart beat and can show up you should be paid a certain amount... The beauty of this island is if you don't like the rules... LEAVE! Go back where it seems more fair.. Libertarian values are all about the freedom of choice.. An isolated island is really a perfect environment for it.
