Aren't Billionaires are above the law anyways?

I have a feeling it would become more of a black market hub, since they stretch outside the normal boundary of morals, but as someone posted before Piracy on an island just outside the safe zone of any country leaves it to the whims of the open ocean. Although They may have some kind of ragtag military group /mercenaries of some sort it's unlikely they could take on much more then the kids in the TV show whale wars... Pirates Own boats, Many of which were sold from countries whom don't demilitarize the ships. A warship is still a warship no matter it's size.

 

Money talks. I don't think this will ever be much more than a vacation island for the billionaire boys club. I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it.

I am using "known" loosely. More as in slightly more interaction than "met" once, but not having "tea" on Sunday's LOL. Not that it's really any of your business, however I worked for a fortune 50 company and worked on a few projects that the CEO was involved in. Another was a friend of a relative I met a few times. When you grow up, you sometimes do meet interesting people and even get to "know" them a bit...
