Hey everyone got a question, I got my Ariclles tang situated in my tank http://www.3reef.com/forums/asap/i-messed-up-again-looking-rehome-2-fishs-132278.html here is a link to my post about that.

Anywho The ariclles is doing well eating and grazing my issues is that he is coverd in ick. I mean honestly covered, I am not sure what to do he is well feed and still eating with a generous appatitie. We give everyone in the tank seaweed (about 4-6 sheets a day) and meaty food as well but the ariclles mostly just eats the seaweed and grazes.

What I want to know is where to go from here, It is a 150 gallon tank and catching him might add more stress but I am affraid to leave him as is. Any Ideas at how to possably proceed with out cause any more do stress.

Hey Everyone update on the Ariclles tang. Me and wife named her Bernice lol. But she is doing good no sign of ich shes a great swimmer and eats like a pig. All of my 5 tangs are getting along with each other. I dont see anymore chassing or fighting going on. I just wanted to say thank you to all. i will post some recent pic later on today

I would just continue to feed well and a healthy fish should be able to beat ich. Do you add vitamins to your food like selcon? The vitamins should help the fish fight the parasite.

Try garlic too. I swear by garlic although I did do a freshwater dip once which worked

+1 to both. Just stay with your normal regiment and the Achilles will fight it off. They are prone to ich and the last thing you want to try and do is catch him. I have had 3 Achilles in my reefing period and I failed miserably trying to catch him for those reasons. Just let nature take its course.

+3 Never remove a tang with Ich unless he's not eating and struggling, removing him will prob be his death sentence. Congratulations on him still eating.

As they stated, I'd overload on the nori soaked in garlic and selcon.

I also used herbtana by microbe lift. It seems to help with the slime layer and appetite.

Good luck, but just try to keep the stress levels down, and quality foods up!;)

what is the stock list of that 150? because if it is overcrowded that could stress the achilles, which will make the ich even worse.
