    Hi,

Just wanted to know if anyone has an Arrow Crab and if so how it gets on with other tank mates. Some places say they are safe and others say they can eat fish! Anybody had any good or bad experiences with these guys?

    Cheers

They are fairly aggressive! Small fish are fair game for the Arrow crab and eventually will end up as a meal for the crab!
They are interesting and with the right tank mates, will make a good addition to your tank!

Arrow crabs will eat feather dusters, any tube worm, and bristleworms. They may spear small fish with their rostrum and eat those as well but I don't know a single person that can confirm it has ever happened. They also will not tolerate other arrow crabs in the tank unless they are a mated pair.

Thanks for the replies everyone, it seems that no one has a problem with them. I would love to get one for my tank as they look really interesting but just slightly concerned that it may attack one of my fish!
Anyone give the crab any specific food or just let it roam and pick at the rock?

    Thanks again

They are extreme scavengers, I used to watch mine eat hair algae and bristleworms.
