Just needed to get that out. ;)

Heading to LFS later today to look at base rock and a bigger powerhead. I almost hate to rearrange things now that they are (somewhat) stable again but if I don't do it now I won't get the chance.

Having trouble finding 3/8" PVC to make a spray bar for a powerhead- the thought is to lay it on its side in the back, with a sprayer directing flow up and out. Should I shoot it out toward the tank or back against the glass? And what size? 29 gal tank so space is a premium. If I add something like an Eheim 265 I'll have to move sand and rock PLUS dumping in another 15-20# base rock... Ghah, I have to stop messing with this thing!

New Tank Syndrome. Thanks for "listening"!

get use to messing with it, cause this will always be something to tweak, especially the more organisms you addd.

try looking into the hydro koralia, i have one in my 29, its small and powerfull, plus its not a direct flow like most other PH. it goes out in all directions.

    Later that very same day...

Only 8lbs of base rock followed me out of the shop. I seem to always low ball the amounts, I thought it was closer to 10-15. Oh well.

Grabbed an Odyssea 550. Not great, but half the cost of the Korelia and I want to attach a long bar to the nozzle to go behind the rock. We'll see how it works.

Thanks for letting me know it's not just me who constantly has something that can be done better!
