What group or species do you have in mind, "Arthropod" covers everything from insects to crustaceans. Need to get much more specific please.

They are little cricket looking things in my tank. I brought a few into my local fish store and she said they were arthropods. Thats it. I caught a whole bunch when I was redoing my aquascape.

I do mean amphipods. Thanks missionsix. I guess I heard wrong. I did a Google search and those are exactly what I have. Are they good or bad? Either way, what do they eat and what do they do?

They are a good food source for many different fish and they also act as part of your cuc. Eating everything from algae, to detritus........

So keeping them in there isn't such a bad idea then? I have a 30gal with one anemone and a few button polyps here and there (hitchhikers ). I know a six line wrasse will eat them, but should I get one for the sole purpose of eating amphipods?

What fish do you have now? I wouldn't necessarily buy a fish for the sole purpose of controlling them.

A firefish and oss clown. I've had my eye on one for a while, but I don't really know if I should get one or not.
