Compared to LED, yeah. Nothing extraordinary compared to any other fluorescent light in your house though. Once you replace the 10000k bulbs, heat will subside significantly.

This shelf, could you hang from it?

 

Im already set on the t5 fixture. But now that i know that ill change the two 10 000k lights first and the LED fixture is real nice but im not looking to waste so much money..

If anything before i get the ATI bulbs ill have the fixture really cool! 8) lol

 

Sounds good. I think you'll enjoy it. FYI, my house is 74 and my heater is maxed out (think it's broken) and my tank reaches 79-80 daily.

 

Hopefully only time can tell but im pretty sure that ill enjoy the coral growth in my tank

not only that but it will arrive perfectly on time because im going on vacation to cuba on the 30th and my parents will be taking care of my tanks so when i come back ill see the tank differently !

Go with a 4-bulb unit. Plus, that doesn't specify that it's high output.
