    From what I can see it looks like a bristle worm which is harmless and a good member to the CuC. It could be a fire worm which would be a problem though. I am leaning more towards a bristle worm though.

    I hope :( its almost a pink color with white looking spikes

    The alternating pattern on the bristles makes me think fire worm but there are so many different types of bristle worm its really hard to get an exact ID.

    +1. Some fire worms and bristle worms look very similar as well. Hopefully somebody else can chime in.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Looks like a large bristle worm, aka fire worm. I doubt it could take down a healthy fish.

    Mine is a lot bigger than that one and I have never had a problem.
