I left my light on all last weekend (was out of town - timer failed)
This week when I turn my light on in the morning the water is nice clear after a while the water starts to cloud up until I turn the lights off. Help!!

Sounds like a bacteria bloom to me. Once you're back on your regular lighting schedule, it should settle down in about 7 days.

I want to agree with Amcarrig too. (Nice Avatar) One question, when you turn the lights on the water was clear, then it became cloudy? Is there a chance somthing disturbed the sand or somthing?

Don't forget to do a water change.

I have 2 new gobies that like to stir things up - I just finished a 10 gal change. So it should settle in 7 days or so?

You just answered your own question. Very likely those guys are the culprit of sudden water clouding.

kinda off topic but two questions.
    1. is that an ESU (coralife) skimmer?
    2. have you ever had leak or overflowing problems with it being out side the sump?

sorry for the high jack.
