I second this suggestion. I was looking for my Mardel fish disease "cheat sheet", but can't seem to find it. If it is a protozoan velvet, the copper treatment in a qt tank is the answer.

i would check your water for voltage, it may be stressing out your animals making them more suseptible to disease. (it may just be cheaper to have buy a ground probe then a voltage meter)

btw wet skim is when your skimmate is a light or dark tea color.
dry skimmate is a sludge that is chunk and makes you want to puke when you clean it

Should I put her anenomie with her? I would be afraid she would stress to death, literally, without her partner.

Ok. Well, it is a tea color with a little light sludge on the bottom from settling. But, I guess that is wet.

if the lighting for anemone is there. If not you could kill anemone and have problems in qt tank

when that sand was disturbed it released all kinds of nasty stuff, sulfates, nitrates and other toxic stuff. wow

    1. water changes
    2. back off feeding so much
    3. get rid of the bioballs add chaeto
    4. change those bulbs
    5. treat fish for mv or ich

if you are treating the one fish with copper based meds then do not put the anemone in. it will die

My husband is headed to the LFS; it is almost 8pm here, so our options are pretty limited. We have an empty 55gallon tank, but it does not have lights. He is seeing if he can pick up a 5gal tank that has what we need.
We really appreciate EVERYONES willingness to share their vast knowledge.
