Just 5 minutes ago I installed my new ASM G-3 Skimmer.
It took 1 minute to put together 2 minutes to take a part and play with 1 minute to drop into the sump and 1 minute to play with the output line. It's now skimming.

I will right a better review next week after a good week of skimming. So far I'm impressed

    That's a helluva easy setup.

Maybe you can post in the review section and link it here. ;) :)

Yup, My Mag 18 died so I was talking to some people and wanted to try something new. Plus it wasn't the best skimmer in the world. Huge foot print not a lot of skimming

The G-3 is one of my possible picks for a new skimmer but I had a question about it. As is I have a weird L-shaped space in my sump for a skimmer and I was wondering what the real footprint is on the G-3?

What I am asking is the footprint is 9.5x12 but the skimmer body is only 6.5 inches across I might be able to wedge it in the corner of the L. I don't exactily know how you could answer this but if you could help I would be thankful.

The 9.5 includes the pump. So your right the 6.5 across is the actual size with a portion that is wider to accomidate a pump
