ATI T-5 HO vs Aqua Science T5 HO: Which is the better bulb?

I am debating on which bulbs to get when I decide to put up my new Tek light fixture and I keep finding two sides to the story as to which are better.

This article here shows a very nice experiment done but I am not sure if it is believable and wanted the experts of lights to check it out.

 

Interesting growth differential, coloration looks similar. There was more Lux loss on the Aqua Science so that might also mean more PAR loss. There is definitely less PAR with Aqua Science bulbs but nothing that should be considered significant. I think it is less than 5% on the top of my head. I think their conclusion is apropriate in that it has to do more with color preference than anything else. IME the color fading by 9 months is also accurate. Growth does not appear to be affected. I would suggest mixing the brands of bulbs if you want want a color between the two brands. I think that is a reasonable experiment.

 

Go with ATI or giesemann... I've had good results with giesemann bulbs
