Here i am again, thinking about upgrading my lights. Right now i have 6x54w t5's >icecaps over my 90 gallon(SPS dominated). I just started this tank thats why i want to get the light once and for all.

I was thinking about staying with t5s or going MH.
i was doing some research and came read good about the ATI fixtures. Now, im sure 8 bulb t5 would give me enough to keep pretty much anything in a 90 gallon (48X18X24).

Shall i go with the Ati T5 or try MH? I have been happy with t5's so far.

If i do go with ATI, i noticed the (sunpower) http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5..._8x54W_SunPower_T5_High-Output_Fixture_by_ATI is a lot cheaper then the (powermodule) http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5...54W_Powermodule_T5_High-Output_Fixture_by_ATI. Is it just the cooling difference or performance?

Any members on here who have used or have the ATI? I would really appreciate pictures, i want to see color and coral growth. Thanks.

Price difference is do to less fans and lighter metal in the casing.

If you are using an Icecap with the 660 ballasts then an 8 bulb ATI will only be equal to what you have otherwise then it will be an upgrade. The 8 bulb ATI will be more than sufficient for a SPS dominant tank.

well...They are mounted in the canopy. I am trying to figure out how good this setup is or if i need to upgrade.
My 90gal setup is going to be sps dominated, so suggest me something that will keep those corals happy.

This is the current light setup:
6 x 54W T5 retrofit lighting kit from Sunlight Supply. Upgraded to IceCap SLR reflectors.

These are connected to 3 Accustart Electronic Ballast

How good are these lights? I was thinking about upgrading to 6 or 8 x54w ATI Sumpower. Would it be a big difference? should i upgrade? I dont want to be stuck with only keeping sps near the top, most of them will be mounted near the top-center of the tank.

The current set up should work fine for your needs. Just add a fan blowing across the label end of the bulbs to increase the bulbs effectiveness. You could go 8 by getting a 2X54W retro fit kit.
