Atman pump review

Well atleast I enjoyed taking a sledgehammer to it... Ive burned through 3 of them now...

 

The first 2 weren't enough proof?

 

you only have so many options when its the only thing that fits in your skimmer

Doh!!...what skimmer?

 

This is the only pump that currently fits the PSK-300 skimmer by Eshopps. I havent been using this skimmer because I learned my lesson not to use cheap pumps. Today I decided Im going to clean it and try again. The pumps popped the 20 amp circuit again by itself somehow. Words cannot describe how frustrating it is to see this skimmer body sit and gather dust while there is no alternate option to power it. There is no way that Id ever let one of these pumps touch my tanks again after this.

I had an Atman 2500 in my Bubble Magus. Ran well but had troubles with restarts. I assume it was from the meshwheel.

Pumps are the achilles heel of all main-stream skimmers now. Care to join the return of the airstone campaign?

I would definitly consider it if they started making larger ones. For tanks with over 300 gallons of system volume.
