I would just look for a pump the has roughly a little more Max head than you need as you don't need a crap load of flow. I would also put a check valve in the line to keep it from having to fill the whole line every time it kicks on

That'd work great and you wouldn't need a check valve either.its prolly what you would pay for another pump too.

Why do you need to run the ATO constantly?

I think he's referring to the fact that it will barely keep up with evaporation.

A two roller peristaltic pump will still need a check valve, a 3 roller peristaltic pump does not. You need to find out the GPH or mL/min at whatever head you will require, 20 ft is not much for most peristaltic pumps so probably drops off at the 10'12 or 15 feet you will require to get from a basement to a sump or display on the main level. Probably not much rate left by then.

The 3 roller peristaltic pump I use is capable of about 90 feet of head and is adjustable in 10% increments up to 200 mL/min.

    ULTRA PRECISE LEVEL CONTROLLER

And the complete ATO kit is on sale for $199:

The Brs says wont back siphon. I though that that meant that it wont drain back?
