    Hey all,

I am looking to add an ATO system to my tank. Although i wish i had room inside the stand to hide one, unfortunately there is none. I will need to keep the reservoir in plain sight. Anyone else has this problem?

    Thoughts are appreciated.

I have a 5 gallon bucket in a nearby closet with a semi-transparent line (diameter of a Bic pen) running from it to the tank.

Try putting your container inside a decorative wicker basket that has a lid and place it next to your stand.

In my case I had mine in plain sight. I had an 11 gallon trash can that was black that kinda matched my stand and just put it right next to it.

I bought a 3 - 5 gallon dog food container from Walmart for about 8 bucks. It has a pouring spout and a door that opens. I drilled 3 holes in the top of the lid and ran zip ties over the pump to mount it to the lid then ran the inlet tube into the container. Not much if any evaporation. I was planning on building a wooden cover. I was going to cover the side, top and front of the container since it sits right beside the tank. But I have been too lazy to do it and I am going to setup a new tank in a few months. When I do I will tear down the current setup.

This is pretty much the container I have, except mine has a dark grey lid with a red pouring spout...

It depends on your decor but Synergy has some ATO tanks that I would love to display next to my stand $$ though....

I ran into the same problem. I ended up getting the tank pictured below. It was about $180 + pump setup. I got a cheepie pump and controller for $50. Both work fine and the tank looks great. It even hides some of the plumbing and wires in the back. I also took the liberty to include the card of the company that built the tank. Let me know if you want info on the pump and controller.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. I am still on the fence about what to do. I could get a custom one made to fit between my tank and my couch. Alternatively I do like the wicker basket idea although it wouldn't match my decor. Although something of the same idea could work well.

    Thanks again!
