Anyone have experience with the AutoAqua Smart ATO? Or the Jbj ato? Which one would be better to get?

I use the JBJ and I have been pleased with its operation. The only issues i have had with mine is due to stupidity on my part. Make sure to keep your hose in your tank to prevent flooding. ;D

I've used the JBJ for like 6 years. No issues at all.

Ya, know, there are more possibllities. That require no electiricity, no pumps, no sensors, no controllers, and no buckets or filling containers, etc.
It does require one of the most powerful forces of nature however- gravity.
If interested, please see the whole thread below- as I added a resevoir that is filled by simply turning a john guest valve on or off for more redundancy.
    It works flawlessly.

Jbj has been great so far, been running same one for a couple of years, mine is tagged to a 1200 penguin pump, don't forget if you are running a larger tank, you can increase the flow timer so you get enough water through before it times out.
My tank is home alone 10 days out of 15, so for me it's important that it runs without issues, so far it's been great.

Tom's aqua lifter. It's a slower pump meaning it won't flood as quick if Murphy decides to visit, can be ran dry for quite some time with out burning up. And it won't back siphon as easy plus it is pretty inexpensive.
