atom smashing. god help us all

This is truely excititng stuff, as posted already everyone needs to relax. Think about it, thye cannot create the same amount of energy needed to create the universe in a lab in Europe. The LHC is a multi-national project with many countries top scientists working on it. In my opinion, this is what we should be spending money on, more research for a better understanding, more knowledge and exploration. That's the future, not war over land and money. How much further along would the world be if all the money spent on wars just over the last 25 years was spent on research?
