No light built in, they still look cool without the blue LED, I just noticed it was glowing from my light fixture, so I drug out my LED strip to see what it could do with those on it. I think it would be cool to mount the strip under the cabinet, but my sump is not under my stand. Lots of possibilities though. Either way, even if you get the clear model, these are really quality made reactors at a great price.

Very cool idea on the acrylic color choice of Atomic. If I wasn't so anti-thumb screws, I would actually consider them. A couple of Ecoxotic Stunner Strips in the stand ant it would look hot.

Why are you "anti thumb screws"?

I prefer the trist and lock solution much better. I was in this hobby when Skimmers had thumbscrews. If you were, you would hate them too. There are so many better options for easy access. The only thumb screws I have in my system are the few that remove the bottom off my skimmer. My calcium reactor doesn't even have thumb screws.

So it's a convenience thing, not a performance issue.

Correct however, to me convenience is part of performance. Especially when access to the inside is a necessity.

How is your green reactor working by the way? What size/kind pump are you using?

These reactors are DIY? ...what exactly does that entail I wonder.

Those are pretty sweet. Almost same design as the bashsea line with all the thumb screws(thumb screws do suck from experience). You can buy a already built one for a bit more. The DIY comes with glue and everything so I'm assuming you have to glue the bases on ect...

Currently I am running a mini jet 660 on it. I was planning on using it for GFO. But I just added some ecobak to my existing reactor and my phos dropped imeddiately. So I think I will run carbon in it. The 660 is only rated for 168 gph and you can dial it down. perfect for what I want. I run a maxi jet 1200 on my Ecobak reactor.

They do provide a DIY kit or pay a little more for a complete reactor. But it's super simple to use the 'weld on' to put it together yourself if you want to save a few bucks.
