do you guys like to attach coral coloines or coral frags onto the liverock of your main display tank or just place it on top of the live rocks?

i use aqua mend, its perfect to hold the coral down but also easy to remove the coral when need be. Try it, you will be very happy!

I decide based on the coral I got and the rock or plug its on
if its on a large piece of base rock, and I can locate it securely without any need for putty then I do so

but with smaller frags, on frag plugs - I use D+D reef putty which is a purple colour to secure plug to rockwork
this stuff will secure a frag plug against the actions of snails and crabs
but if you ever need to relocate coral its still reasonably easy to break the plug away from the putty

I use a combination of the putty epoxies like aquamend and super glue gel. It really depends on the circumstances. If I just need something sticky I use super glue gel. If I need a little more structure I use the putty. The putty really isn't very sticky so if I need sticky and structure I use both.
