When gluing or epoxying a frag to live rock do you have to scrub the rock down a bit first or just glue the frag on?

    Monster,
I have not had to scrub the LR i use for frags down as it was generally clean and algae free. If your LR rubble is covered in algae, bacteria, or diatoms, you will want it to be clean before sticking frags on there.

ya if the rock is abit slimy or has algae on it I would scrub it with a toothbrush, Dont take the rock out though just use a clean toothbrush that you can put into your tank. I used an aqua stik onetime and diddnt clean my rock and after the putty hardend I touched it to make sure it was solid, and the frag and the putty just fell off
