I witnessed my coral banded shrimp attacking my pulsing xenia in a fit of rage. Has anyone heard or seen something like this happen before. I have had the CBS for over six months and have never had a problem with him. I could not find any info documenting them attacking and or eating soft corals. I am wondering if he was just having a bad day or what!!!!

I think Rayman007 is trying to make up a story so, I'll frag more of my xenia to give to him. He was at my house this weekend and received a pretty nice bag of various goodies. Rayman if you want more xenia just ask, instead of making up wild stories of harmess CBS's attacking inoccent corals.

Missionsix66 you are so funny (LOL). The only reason I took your frags is so they had a chance to live. Thanks for the frags, but this is a legitimate question, no need to reply missionsix66. P.S it was not the new xenia he attacked.

    I too had a CBS.

The operative word being "had" in the above sentence.

Beautiful animal but a wee-bit too agressive for my liking.

I have an xlg CBS and have never had a problem with him. My tangs love having him pick them clean and at night he searches the whole tank for any scooby snacks left behind. Not once have I witnessed him attack anything and my tank is full of xenia.

agreed, my CBS just hides all day and scavenges at night, though he occasionally comes out when a piece of flake comes him.......
