very interesting to know. I thought my c,lown was just mean cause it so happenend. So its in there nature? I have two and its only the same 1. Should I get it a diffrent mate? I am not trying to get f'd-up by nemo when he gets bigger.

 

Clowns are just "cute" damsels. They all have the same attitude. Wait till they start mating (so I've read, I've never fallen for the clown or the tang thing LOL).

 

Getting a different one won't matter, its just the females way of defending their home basically. If you get another one chances are it'll just be a different clown nipping you...

My foxface runs at my hand when I hold the cube in front of the powerhead and tries to eat right from my hand but it scares the crap out of me because one time his spines ran across my hand points down and swam away. I thought for sure I was in for pain but now everytime my hand enters the tank he runs to my hand.

One day a customer traded in a full grown Sebae clown at the store. Shackmel was in there shopping and looked down on the tank. That crazy thing lept 12 inches out of the water trying to bite her in the face.

one huge maroon (like 7 inches) ate a wrasses eye!

 

You should try diving with them. Did a deep dive on Oahu where the downed plane is (100 ft). At the bottom near the drop line there was a lone rock with an anemone on it with two clown fish living there. The dive master warned us that they were aggressive. I was at least 8 feet away from them and the little buggers would swim out and try to bite my eyes out through the mask. They would hit the mask so hard you would jerk back... like "Hey you little %#^@#$".

Funny that they go right for your eyes... lol.
