i came down to look at my tank after getting home from work. and my carpenters wrasse got sppoked and jumped out of the tank and behind it. it took a few minutes but we got him back in the tank. hes got stress marks on him and breathing very heavily. im really hoping he pulls through. hes one of my favs. and if he died, not enough meat on him to fry up. lol. sorry about the gallows humor

I hear ya! I had a bar gobie take a dive today. My 6 yr old son comes running in yelling that a fish jumped and the dogs are trying to eat him. I swooped him up and rinsed him real quick and dropped him back in and he swam under the rock and my purple lobster grabbed him. Its been a bad few weeks for some of our fish. Good luck..

thnx bob. sorry to hear about your gobie. we didnt have time to rinse him, got him back in as quick as possible. he was laying on the substrate, but got enough strength to swim into an old shell thats part of my live rock. he might make it.

We had a pinkbar goby take a jump after adding a hyperactive blenny. We were used to the Goby dissappearing for a few days at a time...he was shy. But, on day 3, we kinda got worried. Looked behind the tank and there he was as dry as a potato chip.

I'm glad you were able to put him back in the water. It sucks when they die on the carpet. Or someone steps on them, like what happened to a yellow watchman at my LFS ::)

we found a blackcapped basslet behind the tank when we rescued the wrasse. we thought the basslet had just died and been eaten. he was dry as a chip too. think we can come up with some goby and basslet chips? think theyd sell? if they would , how about a 50\50 split on profits jwin. lol
