Ya that may work I use that as a prevention. Do you have corals? If so u have to be careful on what U use medication wise. Rid.ich. U can youse because it is all organic it is orange and not blue so it will not stain the silicone.

Right now raise the temp of the tank just a tad to like 80-82 to slow the cycle of ich. Over night the fish will be twice as bad if you don't take immediate action. If u have garlic use some of that to. You can add It straight to the water also

ok cool yeah I have a few corals, I'm actually going to start a build thread tomorrow or more of a progress thread. Should I hold off on adding fish until he gets better? or should it be ok if I'm treating it? (Im a newb to salt sorry)

raising the temp actually speeds the cycle which gives the newly hatched parasites less time to find a host so it is still helpful

Raising the temp will speed up the ich. Marine ich isn't death sentence as it is most often with freshwater ich. A healthy fish can fight off ich most of the time. As long as the fish are eating well there is no need to get too worked up, but you should still look into taking action. Using garlic will help entice the fish to eat. There is a debate as to whether or not it boosts the immune system of the fish, but I won't go in to that. Also you may want to do some reaserch on the life cycle of ich, as it can take some time after the spots disappear for the system to be safe to add more livestock. There are plenty of great threads on here if you do a search.

Best of luck and hope this helps,
    Jake
