There is a little part on the left side maybe 1/8 inch long that is missing tissue. What should I do? 79 temp, ph is 7.9 - 8.2, ALk is 8 and Cal is 420. Sal is 1.026. He is on the bottom of the tank 46 gallon bowfront with a Sunpod 2 150 MH 14K bulbs.

How long have you had it? What kind of flow you have around it?

The only thing I can think is to much flow on that side, something ate it, or your parameters are off like SG.

    question Adam

when it was in the corner was any other very close to it
could it have been the victim of sweeper tentacles from something in the vicinity

It happened when the coral was in the corner so I moved it to the center where my plate coral was doing wonderfully. Now he is in the corner. Nothing with tentacles were close to it. It was about 10 inches under the MP-40. Maybe that caused it. SHould I try the food on him. My Six Line or Flame hawk might steal the food though

If it was in the corner on the sandbed, it could have gotten either smushed against the glass or slightly buried in the sand.
