On Monday June 27th, I leave for Austria. I am going there for work. I design boilers. I will be going there to verify some piping routes. I will be flying into Vienna. The plant is in a city called Pols. I will be staying in both cities.

My questions are, had anyone every been to Austria? I have never been out of the country, an suggestions, tips, tricks? Anything advice would be appreciated.

go with an open mind and a spirit of excitement

never been, but as you can probably gather I had travelled about a bit
should be a great experience, hope you enjoy yourself

in the mean time, some phrase books would be good
Im 100% certain English will be extremely well used

but a few phrases in Austrian, such as please and thank you etc
will certainly help with any relationship building you need to do there
The more you know, the less you need to take (Cody)

Thanks Steve. I thought after I sent this, when will you chime in? Haha. I am very excited about the trip. I will have some down time to do some site seeing. Plus I get to climb around a boiler (love my job).

Thats what I hear. I will have some awesome pictures for my friends here at the 3reef community.

I have one question I am trying to understand....Thats electrical. I will be charging two cell phones (one mine, other works) camera, laptop. I also have an electric razor and toothbrush. Do I need just an adapter, or an adapter with a transformer? I went to radio shack today, the guy told me he needs a list of all the eletric equip with there voltages. Can someone provide some insight on this topic?

Austria (Österreich) is nice country. There are a lot of beautiful castles. You should visit the Schonbrunn Palace, the palaces and castles of Austria are among the country's top tourist attractions. I was used to live in Germany around 6 years, you can travel by car to another country in couple hours. I love the Den Haag, Scheveningen beach in Holland if you have chance to visit there. I have been there many times since I lived around 2-3 hours.
