I am currently running my 5 gallon ecopico with success! Coraline algae is popping up all over. I am able to keep the salinity very stable with the glass lid; however, the water condensates on the lid and doesn't look very good. I am interested in getting an auto top off sytem just to get rid of the lid and to be safe on vacations. I am only looking to spend around 40$
I have looked at www.autotopoff.com and am interested in their single switch controller, but am confused on what I need to do to get it set up. What kind of pump do I need and I am not very good with electrical wiring. I currently have a small tetra whisper air pump. Would this help? All help is greatly appreciated!

I strongly don't recommand using a cheap ATO on any tank. Any way, on a tank this size I don't think the JBJ is a good option. It's been designed to work on larger tanks and with a tank this size it may pump in lots of water, wich will mass with your salinity. Top off the water yourself or use a system that was designed for nano like the tunze osmalator mini, which costs about the same as the JBJ with the aqua lifter:)

Disagree, You can plug anysize pump into a JBJ AT unit. It can be used with any size tank. If you have a small tank use the toms aqua lifting pump. If have have a big tank use a bigger pump.

Both of those systems are a little out of my price range. Any other options? I've heard great reviews about autotopoff.com.

I use one and its perfect. Just grab a electric solenoid and buy the double ato.
