I have used and recommend this one

    AutoTopoff.com

Simpler and cheaper. Never had a problem with it.

I have the Tsunami. Better than most other ATOs since it won't fail in the on position (dumping lots of water into your tank), and all moving parts are outside the aquarium (0 maintenance, and won't jam like a float switch).

Hey thanks a lot, its only 39 dollars. So all I do is plug in the pump and it will turn on when water level drops ?

Simple as that! There is also have an in-tank version. It just has a shorter shaft so the switch doesn't sit as low. Be sure to pick the right one. They have everything you need for an ATO system on that site.

Regardless of which one you get, be sure you take it out once a month or so and run it under freshwater and clean it out so it doesn't get stuck.

Exactly why I got a Tsunami - this step is totally not necessary.

Is there no moving parts at all in this one? How does the censor move or is it electronic ?

One tip with ATOs is a smaller top off pump is better. Something like an Aqualifter ($15) or a doser type of pump. The level will stay more steady and if something does stick on there's a better chance of catching if before disaster strikes.

    +1 to the Aqualifters.
