auto top offs...is the jbj n e good?

    im sick of adding water a few times a day to my sump! and im ready for an auto top off. is the jbj ato n e good? the tunze is double the price, and im not willing to spend $250 on one, the jbj is $119 and even still im not sure...

    The Tunzes are solid. I picked mine up used for $100. Would not hesitate to do it again... but no you do not have to spend that much. JBJ has a good name with them. I know a lot of people use Autotopoff.com. Regardless of what you get, you will be much happier.

    I use one coupled up with a Aqua Lifter. Has been running for several months with no problems, does exactly what it says on the tin.

    yea its pretty good. factor in on the jbj u gotta buy a pump.

    Ive had a JBJ for years. Very solid unit with appropriate fail safes.

    Save some dough and buy one from Autotopoff.com. They work extremely well and are fairly inexpensive.

    Reeron: do you have one off this site? i took a look and it seems like it will work well. what pump would you use on one of these? are they fair;y adjustable? i dont want more than a litre or so off water getting put in the sump at one time...thanks for the advice

    Yes, I have one from autotopoff.com.
    I use a Rio Aqua 180 pump. Works very well for me.
    The water level is adjustable from 4" to 9" below sump lip depending on where you attach the switches to the mount using the provided zip ties.
    I use a timer and have it set to turn power on to the pump 4 times per day (15 minutes each time). Otherwise the top off turns on every time the water level in the sump drops about a quarter of an inch.
