can you drill some holes in the thicker vertical piece to adjust for height with a bracket?

Yeah, I plan on doing something like that (pressing against the glass with nylon screws to hold it in place), but I measured were the water level had to be all the time and pretty much made the acrylic float holders to that height.

looks nice. i would be more worried about turning the ro unit on and off, as you have said. because i always let it run before using the water. so if you could a run a delay that would be the way to go. otherwise you look good to go

reef_guru I already have the asov. The purpose of the delay relay would be so that the solenoid would not let water pass everytime there is a slight decrease in height. So basically the float switch would lower and then there would be a delay of 15 min, 20 min or some programmable time of my liking. Like that the rodi is not turning on just because of a small decrease in height.

Well at least thats the plan.

having a turn off solenoid is a must as mentioned. but, the ro/di system is going to use the same amount of water in the long run with or without the delay. the usage would be a constant and the filters would still need to be changed in the same amount of time with or without the delay. your choice, i still wouldnt do it, its just one more thing to go wrong, and theres nothing worse than coming home and not having water due to an item going wrong with the pumps sucking air.
