I sincerely hope no one is bitten or seriously injured by these sharks.

With that said, man these Great Whites hanging around off the Cape Cod coast are amazing IMO.

They are hunting and eating the near by seals.

Currently they are tracking 9 of them. One bite victim thus far and every one else is staying out of the water.

What a magnificent beast of an animal, bigger than my car.

Need a bigger kayak buddy :):)

My favorite all time move by far.

Makes me want to watch it right now.

Even though no one can go in the water all kind of tourist are flocking to the area to buy shark memorabilia.

I would go in a heart beat, and go boating, but in a big boat.

    That counts as awesome.

Hammer Heads are such freakish looking sharks, intimidating looking IMO.

When I dove the Blue Hole there were too many Bull sharks to count.

This is from a paper written by the Smithsonian. There have been 236 great white shark attacks on humans recorded since 1876. About one-third have taken place in California waters.
Despite this grisly and disturbing history, Compagno says great whites intentionally attack humans even less frequently than the statistics suggest. Compagno says many "incidents" (a term he prefers to "attacks") are "bite and release." He thinks the shark is trying to get a better look at the strange creature in the water. According to the International Shark Attack File, a record kept by marine biologist George Burgess at the Florida Museum of Natural History, great whites leave the area two-thirds of the time after the first bite. According to his records, over 80 percent of people supposedly attacked by great whites in the 1990s survived. "If the great whites really attacked the people listed on the file, hardly any would have survived," says Compagno.

If Great Whites really wanted to eat us we would be easy pickings. There are many places in the world were these sharks congregate and swim within several feet of unsuspecting swimmers with attacks or "incidents" almost non existent.Sharks definitely have more to fear from us then we do from them.
