Notice, I only said I hate cycling with aggressive damsels when people aren't planning on keeping them. Irks me big time. Reef pet peeve you might say. Just clarifying to no one really. :D

Maybe just get a beast fish to smack them down.

    I got them!!!!

Well just broke down the tank, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, actually wanted to chang around my rock a little anyway. Put all my soft stuff in the sump, pulled the rock and within 10 minute the little blue fish (called them quite a few other names) are out, minimal stress and now everyone to include myself feels "more better" :)
Thanks everyone for the ideas and support. Beautiful fish, but little pains.

LOL!!! I thought I read 'Just broke the tank.'. Whew!!! Well, good job. When I broke mine down, I was able to finally get a few fish out of mine that I wanted gone. Easy to put in......not so easy to get out.

Huzzah :D :D :D :D I guess this further shows that the tried and true method of getting a fish out is to start pulling rock. Lots of rock.

I think we should add these to Murphy's Laws. "The effort needed to remove a fish is inversely proportional to its value" and "The chances of a fish dying are inversely proportional to its cost."

off topic.. but when I cycle a new tanks. I use Black Mollies ( they live in both salt or fresh) and they are usually $1.99 each. pick up 10 of them for 20 bucks.

Damsels are a pain. I remember I cycled my old 150 gal FO tank with these damsels and I ended up killing one of them because he just did not want to get netted. I think fish stores should warn anyone who buys these guys that they will pose a future problem. I have 5 green chromis' that do not bother anyone. I really like them but I didn't use them to cycle my new reef tank and I put them in after most of my fish were in there. That might change as they get bigger but I don't see a problem. It's funny, today I was getting ready to feed the fish so I use this poring acrylic container and scoop up some tank water to drop the frozen food into so it thaws nicely and low and behold wouldn't you know it I scooped up one of those Chromis'!;D They are like feeding Pacmen when I put some baby brine in the tank. Too funny! Anyway good luck with your tank.
