I have some questions about dosing BRS. My 220 reef tank is about 1 year old and I just started dosing with the 2 part brs setup. I started with there rec on the dosing for my setup (50ml) of each part each day. When I started the reading were this....

    ph 8.0
    cal 380
    alk 7.8
    mag 1380

Now after 3 weeks of dosing im at this....

    ph 8.3
    cal 480
    alk 9.0
    mag 1480

Everything in the tank seems to be doing fine. I have lps, zoas and mushrooms. I have no sps as of yet. Question is shoud I back off the dosing or keep going on it or should I lower the dose rate per day. Im manually dosing BRS as of now until I get the reef angel setup. I do know that my levels are with in range for the amount of stuff I have I think. I do 25 gallon water changes every sunday also with coral pro salt.

Please give me a litte info on this

    ammonia 0
    nitrate 25
    nitrite 0

Yes. Stop dosing for a week and see where your levels go

You can stop for 3 days then measure your levels again. Divide the difference by 3 and that will give you an idea on how much to dose daily.

After 3 days my levels are

    ph 8.1
    alk/dkh 8.6
    cal 420
    mag 1335
    sal 1.025

    was....

    ph 8.3
    cal 480
    alk 9.0
    mag 1480

Should I drop it down to 20ml and see if that will keep it steady?

I would. Try it for a few days and test again. This really is trial and error thing. It won't take a long time to find that sweet spot. Just think, when you add more corals, you'll start again, testing, adjusting dosing, etc..
