B~Low~HighTide's 60 build....(50upgrade)

Well the tank build went fine ..The corals were moved just fine...When i went to Bakersfield to see my other brother(i live in norcal) My Nephew decided to does my tank with abottle of IODINE(Yes a full Bottle )

..Amazingly only the Monties suffered . It was a whole two days i didnt know...

When i came home last weekend the EMPTY NEW bottle was behind my tank and my Nephew told me he fed my reef..OMG i almost disowned him.

He's only 8years old and offered up his piggy bank LOL.. i couldnt take his offer.

I sat him down and after a very nice long talk he helped me take every thing out and do water changes. He is now learning all about reef tanks.

The first thing i told him he is never to touch any of the chemicals,, Calcium ,Iodine.kalc, and so forth. He dosnt live at my house but was visiting my mom.. If i knew he was gonna be there i woulda put all the stuff way up high or locked it in the garage!

Thank fully after a emergency water change and everything pulled outa the tank including sand and sump.. The Montis were the only thing hit hard.

The fish mushrooms and Softies all made it,, Im surprized they were all swollen up like ballons.. Even the LR and sand was still alive... Thank fully the Skimmer did its job and foamed all weekend when it happend.

So after the water changes i decided to hook up the 250watt radium ..Im glad to say that the Montis are now showing signs of opening polups( there not smooth any more) Although they did lose about 50% bare WHITE everywhere ..They seem to stop retreating. Then to top it off All this stuff caused a good algee out break which is almost over.

I thought at first great all this hard work just went down the drain...

I then relized were were all kids just like him at one time or another...

After i put every thing back into the tank for the second time now . I decided to give him another good lecture about reef tanks @ 31flavors ( BaskinRobins Icecream)..

Over the next few weeks ill be getting some different frags to even things out. At least in a few months everything should be back to normal and you wont be able to tell..
