Last night after all lights were off my peppermint shrimp had babies and it just happen that I had been spying in there with a flashlight and seen it, I had a brine shrimp net near by so I netted about maybe 40 of them, their floating in the tank in a hatchary type thing right now, I am not very sure how eager I am to try and keep these things alive, I know they can't stay in that hatchary long, no current. Anyways what I am wondering do you think these things will eat the same food we use for our SPS Corals? like MarineSnow.

Well, I don't actually think SPS corals eat marine snow... It's dead, decaying waste by the time it gets into your tank, but that's another story... Perhaps shrimp would eat it, as they are scavengers, I don't know. They will need really small food, maybe cycpleeze would work. Most people are unsuccessful though. They will need to be sheltered. Moving them to a small tank, with no predators and no pumps, just an airstone, would probably be a good idea.

Peppermint shrimp babies are better coral food than marine snow...;D

When my peps gave birth I'd turn a little light on near my sun coral and watch it eat.::)

Google it, probably not worth trying to raise them unless you've got time and perseverance.

Mine have babies twice a month almost and my tank LOVES it! From what I understand they are hard to keep alive when they are young.

Good luck, hopefully you have good results.
