No. See my first post. I inserted the photo. I showed up 4 days ago on the glass then disappeared for three days an now back on my glass. It found some algae that I missed when cleaning the other day.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

    +1.

Starfish are broad cast spawners. With fertilization taking place externally. Very few actually brood as a means of reproduction.

The larva then float around the ocean as zooplankton going through stages of development until they settle to the bottom.

Asternia have the ability to spontaneously loose arms resulting in another asternia starfish.

Is the asterina the same as my sand sifter? I purchased the Sand Sifter and a Diamond Watchman Goby about 4 months ago. My sand was a mess before them. Now it is spotless.

Nope two completely different starfish. Asternia starfish do not get much bigger than the one you have.

Cute avatar! And cool asterina. I have a few. I'm glad to have them back now that my tank is cycled. I lost the few that were introduced with the Uncured rock I put in during cycle. Every once in a while I spot em on the glass and sometimes not. They have a keen sense for where food is because I keep the front and sides of the glass scraped clean but Leave the back for them and snails. They always go to the back glass!

Congrats on keeping the goby in there for 4 months. Mine jumped after 3 days!

Thanks on the avatar. She was about six months then. Now she is 17 months. She loves the fish and has to say good night to them at every bed time.
